Love, Laugh, Level Up

Love, Laugh, Level Up
Love, laugh, level up

I’ve always been searching: trying to figure out who I am, what matters, and how I should be spending my time and energy. Over the years, I’ve explored personality tests, feedback, books, values lists. I’ve written and rewritten what I thought were my core priorities.

At one point, I had ten. Then five. They were solid: People, Freedom, Growth, Harmony, Novelty. All true. But over time, I understood myself better and started to see deeper patterns. That’s when I landed on this: Love. Laugh. Level Up.

  • Love: It’s my core why. The people I love come first: my wife, my daughter, my family. I’d do anything for them. That’s the foundation everything else rests on.
  • Laugh: I can’t take life too seriously, it’s just not who I am. I need joy, humour, stories. They keep me grounded and recharged.
  • Level Up: I need to keep growing, mentally, physically, emotionally. It’s just how I’m wired. I can’t help it, and I don’t want to.

I use it to check in from time to time. Which one am I leaning into right now? Which one’s missing? It helps me decide where to put my time and energy.

This isn’t something I picked out of thin air, it’s tied to who I am, how I work, and what drives me. These aren’t just values, they’re parts of me I’ve come to understand, accept, and rely on. If you’re figuring out what guides you, this might help: 👉 Finding Your Compass

Bottom line: Your compass won’t be obvious on day one. Mine took years to discover. But once you find it, it makes decisions easier, and the next step clearer.
